The Bodies in Motion 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Vinyasa Teacher Training program is carefully designed for serious students of yoga who wish to become yoga teaching professionals, or for those who wish to deepen and refine their personal practice. At Bodies in Motion, we offer a full-spectrum and individualized approach, where each student will be nurtured through refinement of their personal voice and unique gifts. Topics include but are not limited to the history of yoga, yoga philosophy & lifestyle, teaching methodology, proper alignment, assisting, sequencing, anatomy, meditation, Vinyasa, Yin and speciatly yoga. The practice of teaching yoga is a never-ending balance of intention, action and speech. We strive to create well-rounded yoga professionals who are equipped with the necessary tools & knowledge to help apply yoga techniques and structure to their own life and the lives of others.

Course Objectives:
To understand and apply the concepts of what it means to lead a yogic lifestyle. This includes understanding through study, Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga
To develop a working knowledge of the Asanas and Vinyasa sequences
To gain a broad knowledge of the different types of yoga that are available to us
To promote knowledge and awareness of skeletal alignment and body mechanics
To learn the fundamentals of yoga philosophy and how to apply them to teaching
To increase personal strength, coordination, balance, flexibility and range of motion
An introduction to “specialty” yoga
To understand the language of yoga
To understand the “business” of yoga
